Hope Power & Industrial Inc. is a specialty manpower resource provider to contractors, industrial facilities and power generation plants: Hope Power & Industrial is seeking to fill positions of Safety Hole Watch for workers in confined spaces. These positions are on project in Knoxville, TN area. (Available Per Diem - for Qualified Candidates)
A hole watcher's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of workers entering and working in confined spaces, such as tanks, pits, or vessels. Hole watchers are often found in industrial fields like shipbuilding or welding.
The Safety Attendant (holewatch/firewatch/bottlewatch), while assigned to jobs inside oil & gas refineries or petrochemical plants, works outside of confined spaces and is responsible for monitoring and protecting the workers entering the confined space, and alerting rescue if necessary.
Some common requirements include:
- Monitoring air quality and checking for dangerous gases
- Ensuring workers sign in and out
- Providing workers with the correct protective equipment
- Evacuating workers safely and quickly if necessary
- Preventing unauthorized entry into the space

All candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Must have basic hand tools expected for trade
- Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel
- Must be dependable and good safety record
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check
