We currently have two (2) Ironworker positions to fill. We are looking for dedicated, skilled candidates who care about workmanship. Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team to erect, install, and repair iron structures
- Operate machinery, equipment, and power tools
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an ironworker
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work at heights and in various temperatures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to read prints and construction drawings
- Good problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls, and tools.
- May be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs
- Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection equipment
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and steel-toed work boots
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass drug tests
- Ability to pass background checks
- Ability to pass a job-related physical examination
- Possess a clean, valid driver’s license
- Willing to work overtime
- Willing to work in all weather conditions
- Willing to work in various locations in CT, MA, and RI (occasionally other nearby states)
- Willing to be a team player and work well with others
