PURPOSE AND KEY RESULTS OF THE POSITION
The position of Welder at TBE is a vital role in the company. As a Welder with TBE you will be responsible for using your welding skills and knowledge to create a strong infrastructure for projects. The ideal candidate would have 3 years minimum fabrication experience and knowledge of geometry, reading blueprints, and various welding techniques. TBE Welders must be efficient, organized, and punctual with excellent attendance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
● Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
● Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
● Study engineering drawings to blueprints to determine requirements for the task.
● Layout and examine metal stock of work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
● Develop templates for welding projects, using mathematical calculations based on blueprints.
● Welding methods, applying knowledge, geometry, and welding techniques
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
● Highly Organized and detail oriented.
● Good communication skills (verbal and written).
● Entry level-willing to train, some experience preferred
● Ability to lift 50lbs
● Standing/walking/bending/reaching 10 hours a shift
● Forklift experience.
● Bi-lingual - Spanish preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● High School Diploma or equivalent.
● 1-2 years’ experience in mechanical assembly is preferred
● Must be 18 to work in manufacturing
● Forklift certification is a plus.
● First Aid or EMT certification is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
● The welders work primarily in a fully enclosed warehouse that is not fully climate controlled. Fans operate in the warmer months, and non-forced radiated heaters are used in the colder months.
● Sun Exposure: 25% or less work time spent outside a building and exposed to the sun.
● Shift is 6:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday each week. Overtime may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PERFORMING ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Sitting/Standing/Walking: Most of the time will be spent standing with little to no time sitting.
Speaking/Hearing: Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
Vision: Ability to effectively read printed materials and inspect equipment and materials.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. for a brief period and distance.
Stooping/Kneeling: Ability to stoop/kneel when required.
Reaching/Handling: Ability to reach/handle product when required. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend and twist.
EQUIPMENT USED
● MIG, Pulse and Spray Welders
● Basic hand tools include wrenches, ratchets, sockets, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, wire crimpers and strippers, pry bars, clamps, etc.
● Power hand tools include corded and non-corded electrical and pneumatic drills, angle and die grinders, saws, impact guns, etc.
● Forklifts
● Tuff Boy will provide tools and training.

Pay: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour
