Duties:
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate power tools, such as grinders and saws, to cut and shape metal
- Use measuring tools, such as micrometers, to ensure precise dimensions
- Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts
- Cut metal using plasma cutting equipment
- Assemble and install fabricated components into larger structures
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of codes and standards related to fabrication and welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled in using power tools and hand tools for fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of different welding techniques, including stick welding
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
