GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Weld, fit and fabricate dump bodies, trailers and/or parts as assigned.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operate shop equipment such as Shear, Ironworker, etc.

· Cut to size various materials.

· Use proper measurement tools to maintain quality and accuracy.

· Convert and form raw material from sheets to various parts.

· Read work orders/drawings to determine lengths, widths and heights.

· Read and execute from detailed blueprints, drawings and/or work orders.

· Accurately fabricate and assemble dump truck bodies, trailers and/or parts to high company standards and time frames.

· MIG and TIG welding using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum, with a high degree of quality and minimal supervision.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of fabrication, assembly and welding experience required. Forklift and overhead crane operations experience a plus.

Other:

· Must have proper tools to accomplish the job.

· Must have analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.

· Ability to multi task and effectively prioritize work.

· Ability to self-manage and work with minimal supervision required.

· Ability to work quickly and articulate/escalate issues, as needed.

· Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to excel in a fast paced, deadline orientated environment.

· Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

· Requires bending or twisting, standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling.

· Requires repetitive movement and exposure to high places.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time.

· Excellent attendance and punctuality is a must.
